Hi, I’m Keely Sutherland, and I’d like to share a bit about myself and the inspiration behind J9 Equine.

Growing up on a cattle farm in Northern Alberta, my love for horses began early in life. My dad, a dedicated cattle farmer with over 300 head of cows, instilled in me a deep appreciation for hard work and the connection between animals and people. The name “J9 Equine” is a tribute to this heritage, inspired by my family's old cattle brand, Bar J9. Bringing this piece of my family’s history into my business has been incredibly meaningful to me.

Today, as a professional trick rider, my passion for horses has grown into a career that demands top-quality equipment capable of handling the rigors of the rodeo world. This firsthand experience is what sparked the idea for J9 Equine-a brand built on the values of durability, reliability, and innovation.
